OCEANS or what it was called back then “ALMOST GONE” was founded by Eric Danielson (TART), Chris Hagen and <st1:personname>Davide Raso</st1:personname>. Our first practices were held at the Area 52, so you can practically say that OCEANS was conceived at A52. After the departures of Chris and Eric, the band changed their name to SH/VR. In that same year Davide recalls being the only member at one point, but was able to convince <st1:personname>Paul Pederson</st1:personname> (that came in place for Eric) to continue the journey. Paul and Davide finished “The other Side” that very night, figuring out how to make a two verse and two chorus song into a more interesting structure song like it is today. After that night we decided to keep going and asked Pauly and Mark Jacobsen, to rejoin us. Later on we found in Lorenzo Michelutti our new vocalist, which helped to pen lyrics to several songs found on ENDURANCE. At that time we decided to change our name to OCEANS.
Lorenzo left right before we started to record our EP, to join Concentual, where he still performs and composes new songs for them, today.
It took us almost 8 month to find RHEA our new vocalist and the voice on ENDURANCE. Her style and experience allowed us to maximize and push the songs to a new level.
On October 10th Oceans will celebrate the release of their debut EP "Endurance" at O'Garas in St.Paul. Please join us!
